The summer shifted to the cold.
The verdant leaves that once were bold grew old.
So falling gently to the dirt
They once again embraced the earth.
The strength and warmth from the old tree
Continued growing with her seed, so free,
And as her children moved along
She said, “Remember when I’m gone,
I wish you well. I wish you peace.
I want the hope inside your heart to just increase.
I wish you joy eternally,
And may you always feel the love you have from me.”
Our time together may be brief
And meet an end, just like the leaf, in grief,
And so we’ll part and you’ll go on,
But please remember when I’m gone,
I wish you well. I wish you peace.
I want the hope inside your heart to just increase.
I wish you joy eternally,
And may you always feel the love you have from me.
So hold on.
Just hold on,
And remember when I’m gone,
I wish you well. I wish you peace.
I want the hope inside your heart to just increase.
I wish you joy eternally,
And may you always feel the love you have from me.
May you always feel the love you have from me.
